    Kohei has experience in advising global and local firms on capital raising, acquisition, and investment. He has successfully executed more than 35 deals worth more than 30 billion USD in 5 regions (Asia, US, Europe, Middle East, and Africa) across sectors.

    He started his career at Morgan Stanley and later joined Shurook, a private equity investment subdivision of the Office of the Quartet, led by Tony Blaire, covering investments in banking and clean-tech sectors in the Middle East. He graduated from a boarding school in Pennsylvania, US, and graduated from Tsukuba University in Japan. He enjoys traveling and flying planes.

  • Kan HorikiriManager

    Kan Horikiri has over 15 years of international experience in transportation planning and mobility, supported by academic backgrounds in Civil Engineering in Japan and Transport and Sustainable Development in France. He has worked across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Latin America, covering a wide range of responsibilities from transport analysis and project management to business development. He has extensive experience working in multicultural environments in Japanese, English, French, and Spanish.

    Based in Panama for four years, Kan worked on transportation infrastructure and public transport projects across Latin America and the Caribbean. He later joined a Japanese public transport operator, where he contributed to productivity improvement initiatives, digital transformation, and the development of new mobility businesses. In Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, he led the establishment of a local operating company and drove the development of EV-based mobility services and intercity transportation businesses.

    In recent years, Kan has focused on Africa, supporting market research, policy analysis, business strategy development, and pilot projects in the fields of electric mobility, public transportation, logistics, and last-mile mobility.

  • Kamil OrbissoProject Manager

    Kamil obtained a degree in Global Studies and International Relations from Addis Ababa New Generation University in Ethiopia. He has been working in Djibouti and Japan expert in the fields of international logistics, maritime affairs, and supply chain of multinational corporations. He came to Japan as a Fellow of Awaji Youth Federation and served as an International Relations and Project Officer at Pasona Co., Ltd.

  • Shota SunoseAdmin Manager

    During his university studies, he was selected for a scholarship program to study at the University of California, Davis. After graduation, he joined a sales support company, where he served as Kansai Branch Manager and managed multiple projects, overseeing project schedules, resource allocation, and operational delivery. In November 2020, he joined an IT company in a corporate sales role and later served as a team leader in new business development.

    In 2022, he worked for the lead company of a project commissioned by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) under its program for market development in emerging economies through technical cooperation. The project focused on improving the business environment through IT human resource development in developing countries. He was involved in the overall management of the project, including coordination with METI, project scheduling, management of international personnel, monitoring and analysis of project outcomes, financial administration, and the development of information-sharing systems among consortium members.

    He later joined Double Feather Partners, where he serves as Head of General Affairs while concurrently overseeing sales projects in the Kanto region. His responsibilities span corporate administration, organizational operations, and project management across a broad range of the firm’s activities.

    He has 10 years of experience as a financial expert in East Africa’s largest banks KCB Bank and Equity Bank. At Equity Bank, he made achievement in the field of Agency Banking by pioneering financial inclusion through use of mobile and POS terminals. He also has experience working at the Kenya National Highways Authority Corporation. He has Bachelors of Commerce in Marketing and Management from the University of Mount Kenya and a Diploma in Business Administration from the British Association of Business Executives.   • Ruth DenekeAssociate

    Ruth has more than 10 years of experience in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, spanning scientific, sales and marketing, business development, and supply chain functions. Her experience covers areas including diabetes, anemia, maternal and child nutrition, vaccines, and pharmaceutical applications. At Merck, she worked in technical product management and global marketing within the Life Science business. She currently serves as Partner – East Africa at CHS Advisory, where she works on healthcare-related business development and partnerships across the region.

    She holds a degree in Pharmacy from Addis Ababa University and has participated in international leadership programs including the AfrikaKommt! Fellowship and the U.S. Department of State’s Mandela Washington Fellowship. She is also actively engaged in social impact and leadership development initiatives, including as a STEP 2.0 Coach and through Rotary International.

  • Emma KiseremaAnalyst

    Emma Kiserema is a Research Analyst at Double Feather Partners, where she conducts market research across African and Southeast Asian markets, supporting the firm’s venture capital investment strategy with data-driven insights.

    Before joining Double Feather Partners in 2023, Emma worked as a Credit Card Analyst at Absa Bank Kenya (formerly Barclays Bank Kenya), where she managed merchant and cardholder payment reconciliation.

    She holds a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from South Eastern Kenya University, graduating with Second Class Honours, Upper Division.

    Frank acquired MBA in Finance at Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan, and BSc. in Business Administration (Marketing) through a joint program between Arctic University of Norway and University of Ghana. He has gained experience in international trade, finance, and business development within commodity trading and banking industries while working at both Itochu Corporation and Access Bank Limited.

    Mercy has experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and business development, with a focus on Africa’s startup and investment ecosystem. She has worked with entrepreneurs and businesses across sectors, with experience in market development, brand strategy, and business growth. She has participated in venture capital and entrepreneurship programs including Dream VC and the Jasiri Talent Investor Program. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Riara University. Based in Kenya.

  • Sakiko NaritaExecutive Assistant

    After graduating from Showa Women’s University, Sakiko gained human resources experience at ITOCHU Corporation. For over two decades, she provided crucial support to senior management at prominent North American companies with foreign affiliations, including Abbott. She has extensive experience collaborating with members of overseas offices, including the U.S. headquarters, Asia, and Europe, as well as with customers. She has also worked in the unique academic environment of the University of Tokyo.
    Leveraging her many years of experience providing executive support in a global environment and her multitasking management skills, she is committed to improving the operational efficiency of our management team, achieving goals, and enhancing corporate value.

    Takayuki is a Partner at MM&N (Momo-o, Matsuo &Namba). He has expertise in emerging markets’ legal framework, and has experiences in information/ intelligence related laws (including AI). He is the author of several books and university textbooks, including “AI/HR Technology Related – Legal Practice on Personal Management & Labor Related Information Management”.
    He graduated from Tokyo University Faculty of Law, Harvard University Law School, and Pekin University Law School.
