DFP Africa Mobility Innovation Fund Selected for the 2026 ICFA Cohort

The selection will support the development of AMIF’s dedicated blended-finance strategy for sustainable mobility and clean logistics across Africa.

Double Feather Partners is pleased to announce that the DFP Africa Mobility Innovation Fund (AMIF) has been selected for the 2026 cohort of the International Climate Finance Accelerator (ICFA).

ICFA is a Luxembourg-based, multi-year programme that supports emerging investment managers focused on climate impact. Selected managers benefit from technical and financial support, expert coaching, training, peer exchange, fundraising resources, and access to Luxembourg’s impact finance ecosystem. The programme also supports fund development in areas such as legal structuring, risk management, impact strategy, and investor readiness.

The selection comes as DFP continues to develop AMIF as a blended-finance venture capital fund focused on early-stage companies across Africa’s mobility and logistics value chains. Its target areas include sustainable mobility platforms, electric fleets, charging and battery-swapping infrastructure, clean and cold-chain logistics, and technology-enabled asset finance, including pay-as-you-go models.

AMIF is being developed to address a clear financing gap. Many companies advancing cleaner and more efficient mobility and logistics in Africa have capital requirements that exceed the scope of conventional asset-light venture capital, yet remain too early for traditional infrastructure or growth investors. They require an investment approach that combines company-building expertise with an understanding of climate infrastructure, supported by partners who can strengthen operations, governance, impact measurement, and commercial partnerships.

AMIF is intended to bridge this gap. Its proposed strategy combines investment with hands-on portfolio support, a technical-assistance facility, and strategic corporate engagement. This approach is designed to help portfolio companies strengthen unit economics, improve bankability, and scale solutions that reduce emissions, improve logistics efficiency, create jobs, expand access, and strengthen urban and supply-chain resilience.

Through ICFA, AMIF will benefit from structured support in fund development, impact strategy, risk management, governance, and investor readiness, while engaging with a broader community of climate finance practitioners and peer fund managers.

AMIF’s selection by ICFA reinforces the relevance of its core thesis: Africa’s mobility and logistics transition requires dedicated capital, practical portfolio support, and partnerships that can help early-stage companies grow into scalable and investable climate businesses. It also marks an important milestone in DFP’s work at the intersection of Africa’s innovation ecosystems, climate finance, and strategic corporate engagement.

We thank the International Climate Finance Accelerator, powered by Accelerating Impact, for this opportunity and look forward to contributing to and learning from the 2026 cohort.
