Double Feather Partners and AfricInvest conclude their first Japan Roadshow together

First of its kind, yet highly remarkable is the best way in words to emphasize the maiden Japan Roadshow organized by the collaborative efforts of Double Feather Partners and the AfricInvest. Kyoto, in Japan, was the host city for this event as a mixture of the Founders, Entrepreneurs, and Private Equity/Business executives came in their diversities to share in the ideology of the hosts. The event readily exposed upcoming, hardworking start-ups making impacts in the various schemes and sectors of the African economy. Consequently, the challenges faced by these start-ups were brought to the table via a comprehensive panel session (where questions were taken and responded to accordingly by key players of every sector and subsector). Also, a sideshow which allowed these start-ups to pitch their impacts how they intend to solve the challenges of their immediate environment using technology, and how they look forward to overcoming the very limitations of these investments. For instance, Ms. Aya Tsuboi of Sunda Technology Global, Uganda expressed keenly how Sunda Technology is solving the water scarcity in (Kampala) Uganda. As part of its aim to create synergy amongst the participants, savory intermediary events like culinary discoveries, change of culture lives and interests, as well as heartwarming one-on-one conversations were tagging along. This further buttressed the impacts made on every participant.

A combination of the duo (Double Feather Partners and AfricInvest) has always culminated into a brilliant concept to make true value-added change (in the positive direction) in the Start-up Ecosystem, with a specific target to Africa’s. DFP has constantly proven itself to be a key stakeholder in improving via looking critically into the limitations facing emerging markets and thereby forming the blocks for a formidable economic society. We have succeeded over the years, to maintain Africa as a priority for our network to continue to focus attention and resources on transformative initiatives. And to also bring teams together that are varied on both a professional and personal level to encourage more viewpoints and connections while coming up with new ideas and solutions. And this has always pushed DFP to do more like in the Japan Roadshow. Similarly, AfricInvest’s impacts in Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Kenya, etc, and an investment base of over 200 Startups, the African Investment giant is gradually becoming a voice to be reckoned with.
