A.P. Moller Capital to Acquire Majority Stake in Globex Investissement
A.P. Moller Capital has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Globex Investissement, a leading Moroccan transportation and logistics company, marking a significant step in the continued development of Morocco’s logistics and mobility infrastructure.
The transaction will establish a partnership between A.P. Moller Capital and Globex Founder and CEO Omar El Kadiri, who will continue to lead the business alongside the existing management team. Together, the partners will support Globex as it enters its next phase of growth, building on the company’s established presence across Morocco’s transportation and logistics ecosystem.
Founded with a focus on providing integrated logistics solutions, Globex has developed strong positions across express delivery, road freight, freight forwarding and customs brokerage. Its operations are further supported by exclusive local market licensing agreements, providing the company with a strong platform from which to expand its services and reach.

The investment also comes at an important moment for the logistics sector, as companies across Africa face increasing pressure to improve efficiency while reducing the environmental impact of transportation. Globex is already pursuing a more sustainable logistics model, with plans to further develop solar-powered hubs, electric vehicle deployment, CO₂ reporting tools and stronger ESG governance.
A.P. Moller Capital’s investment is expected to bring together its international sector expertise and experience in emerging markets with Globex’s deep understanding of the Moroccan market and its established operational platform. This combination provides a strong foundation for Globex to continue expanding while investing in technology, infrastructure and more sustainable logistics solutions.
For Morocco, the partnership reflects the growing opportunity to develop logistics platforms that can support the country’s expanding trade, e-commerce and industrial sectors while contributing to the transition towards lower-carbon transportation.
The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including merger control clearance from the Moroccan Competition Council.
DFP Perspective
The transaction is another example of the increasing interest in Africa’s logistics and mobility sectors from international and regional investors. Morocco’s strategic position, established industrial base and growing connectivity make it an increasingly important market for logistics and transportation investment.
For investors, the combination of established local operators, expanding demand for logistics services and the transition towards more efficient and sustainable transport creates opportunities to build scalable platforms with long-term growth potential.
DFP will continue to track developments across Africa’s transportation, logistics and mobility sectors as international capital and local businesses increasingly come together to build the infrastructure required for the continent’s next phase of growth.
