Anda Selected for Google for Startups Accelerator Africa

Our portfolio company Anda, an Angolan urban mobility startup, was selected for the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa Class 10, placing the company among 15 startups chosen from nearly 2,600 applications across the continent.

The recognition marked another important milestone in Anda’s growth and reflected the progress the company has made since our relationship began in 2024.

From Early Market Entry to Investment

Our journey with Anda began through our acceleration programme, delivered together with UNDP and METI, which brought global venture capital investors and corporate venture teams to Angola to explore the country’s emerging startup ecosystem.

The programme provided an opportunity to engage directly with local founders, understand the market and identify businesses with the potential to address important challenges within Angola’s economy. Anda stood out through its approach to urban mobility and its ambition to expand access to vehicle ownership and mobility services for transport operators.

Following our early engagement with the team, Double Feather Partners participated in Anda’s €3 million seed round in 2025, continuing our support as the company moved into its next stage of growth.

Building Angola’s Mobility Ecosystem

Anda is working to formalise parts of Angola’s urban mobility market by providing drivers with access to vehicles, financing and digital mobility services.

The company’s model addresses several interconnected challenges facing transport operators, including access to vehicle ownership and the ability to build more sustainable livelihoods through formalised mobility services. Its continued development also contributes to the broader evolution of Angola’s technology and mobility ecosystem, where locally founded companies are increasingly developing solutions around the country’s specific market needs.

What We See

Anda’s selection for the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa is a meaningful recognition of the progress made by the team and the potential of businesses emerging from markets such as Angola.

For us, the milestone also reinforces the importance of early engagement in emerging ecosystems. Our initial work with Anda began before the company’s subsequent investment round and international recognition, giving us the opportunity to support the founders as they developed the business and positioned it for scale.

We are proud to have been part of Anda’s journey from its early stages and look forward to continuing to support the company as it expands its impact across Angola. Congratulations to Sergio Tati, Joerg Nuehrmann and the entire Anda team on this achievement.
